Autumn is coming and it’s time to plan your next trips! In this article I suggest you 4 city trips to do during this beautiful and colourful season. Autumn is for me one of the most romantic seasons, so I invite you to read where I suggest you to bring your sweetheart.
Bruges
Bruges is without any hesitation my favourite city of Belgium. It’s true that I don’t speak much about my country (to tell the truth I prefer the tropics and Belgium isn’t always sunny). However, during the autumn, Bruges becomes an enchanted city. It’s a pleasure to stroll through its alleys, to enjoy a waffle dotted with strawberries or to buy Belgian chocolate for the whole family.
You can also have a picnic at Minnewater Park, discover its incredible architecture with its colourful houses (which reminds me strongly Stockholm) or make a small boat ride in its canals. Paris
Paris of course! Autumn is for me a season where lovers meet. Paris being the city of Love, I could only offer you to discover it. Of course, you can see the famous Eiffel Tower, but especially lose yourself in the streets of Montmartre, admire the works of artists just waiting to be appreciated. You can take your sweetheart to the show of “Moulin Rouge” or taste the best macaroons in the world at “La Durée”. Between gastronomy, visit, museum, show and walk, Paris is always a good idea.

Monaco
Monaco is one of my favourite cities in Europe because it’s often sunny. And since it’s located in the south, the best time for me to visit it is during the fall. There are fewer people, good weather and more air. Monaco is the luxury, the restaurants, the casino. But also the pretty views, the walks in the most beautiful seaport.
But in my opinion, discovering its gardens is a very good idea in autumn. Whether you like exotic gardens, Japanese or European, Monaco is the right place. Although Monaco is a principality outside France, its gastronomy is no less delicious. To know what to do in Monaco, it’s here.
Malta
The sunniest destination I propose you is Malt. A wonderful island not far from the places mentioned above. It’s a little less romantic but quite peaceful. The weather is perfect in early autumn. The air is cooler and the courses having started again, there are many less tourists. Malta is easy to visit, for my part I rented a vehicle to discover the entire island but also its neighbors (Gozo & Comino). And that’s where the season you visit Malta matters. These two islands are beautiful but very small and during the summer, tourists invade the beaches.
I advise you to go there to discover a wonderful culture, a fortified city (Mdina), a colourful fishing village (Marsaxlokk) but also few natural pools, incredible caves, some salt pans but especially the Village of Popeye! To know more about Malta, read the article!
