DUBAI | WHAT TO DO ?

Dubai what to do travel blog UAE (4)

Dubai is currently one of my favorite cities, you know me, I’m more a beach than a city person. But there is a lot to discover in Dubai! Obviously some are better known than others. So I’ll give my top 5 experiences!

Burj Khalifa

Obviously Burj Khalifa is the number 1, it’s undoubtedly one of the most tourist attractions in Dubai. It should be done at least once, especially if you’re in Dubai. I didn’t had the opportunity to go there last year due to lack of time (It’s better to book your ticket online just HERE). This photo was taken on the 124th floor with the ticket « At the top » which costs around 40€. There are several prices on the site, depending on the floors you want to visit and the time you want to go. For my part, I went there at 2.30pm and the light was pretty good for pictures!

Dubai Safari desert – Platinum Heritage

Who says Dubai says desert, it’s imperative that you discover the Dubai desert! For my part, I already made a desert safari last year in Abu Dhabi. BUT this year I decided to try the experience with Platinum Heritage in Dubai because they offer a slightly more special safari. Instead of doing it in a new Land Rover, they offer to do a vintage Land Rover safari, which makes the experience even more enjoyable and unique. You can watch HERE the different services they offer.

I tried “Heritage Dubai Safari”, a driver picks you up at the hotel around 3.00pm and you leave in the direction of the desert. You receive an Adventure pack (a bag with a gourd; which avoids plastic bottles), then you travel through the desert aboard a vintage Land Rover in search of wildlife. After that you enjoy a falcon show with a delicious cinnamon tea and a typical drink. The best time for the end, head to the camp where an amazing 4 course dinner with some entertainment and a camel ride awaits you!

Nikki Beach Dubai

For me Dubai is also synonymous of celebration. I love having a good time by the pool so what could be better than spending the day at Nikki Beach. You know that I’m a big fan of their concept! I loved that of Koh Samui (where I stayed a few nights). As well as that of Marbella and Monaco which exude the joy of living. So I decided to give myself a day at Nikki Beach in Dubai and I didn’t regret it! As usual, the atmosphere was ideal. Music, swimming pool, pretty view, incredibly available and smiling staff. Everyone is happy at Nikki Beach. But sshhh “Tell only your best friends”

Madinat Jumeirah – Abra tour

I really loved Madinat Jumeirah complex, especially the authentic Arab architecture that really immerses you in the atmosphere. The perfect place to eat, have a drink or make shopping. For my part, I went there to take a ride in Abra, a small traditional Arab boat. It reminded me a bit of Venice, although the canals here are 100% artificial. It cost around 25 € for this experience and it lasts 20 minutes. You can buy tickets directly on site, it’s quite fast.

Dubai’s most instagramable place – La Mer

La Mer is of my favorite place, it’s a “commercial” district. Shops of all kinds, restaurants, cafes, outdoor activities but ESPECIALLY urban art. This place is just amazing. I had planned to stay there for 1 hour for some Instagram pictures / stories and I ended up staying there for more than 3 hours. It’s very pleasant to walk there and it’s at “La Mer” that I took my most beautiful Instagram pictures. You have immediate access to the beach as well. Next time, I’ll spend the whole day there!

Of course there are a lot of things I haven’t talked about like the different aquariums, the shopping malls, the rooftops or the souks etc. Dubai is full of little corners to discover and it’s up to you to see if you’re more interested by architecture, party or weather!

Love,
