Top 4 Spa in Canggu : coming to Bali without going to a Spa? No way! Whether it’s to have a massage, manicure, take a yoga class, breathwork, have injections, specific treatments and so on, you’ve come to the right place! After more than 4 months in Canggu, around fifty treatments, masks, pedicures, various courses and so on, I decided to write an article to help you make the right choice according to your expectations.
In fact, some spas are more focused on massages while others specialize in gel nails, body sculpting or even meditation classes! Bali is the Asian capital of well-being and there is no shortage of spas! It’s sometimes difficult to make a choice so here are my top 4 spa in Canggu.
Goldust Spa for gel manicures, pedicures & massages
Goldust Spa is recognized for its masks around the world, known for its gold masks. 24-carat gold leaf is applied to your face to give you a younger complexion! This is definitely one of my top 4 spa in Canggu! Their renovations give even more charm to the place. So relaxing; we are transported as soon as we pass the entrance doors. Quality service at an affordable price. Ginger tea, piece of watermelon, etc. The staff speaks in a very pleasant and soft tone (which is not the case in all spas here…). I tried the anti-cellulite treatment, the pomegranate deep cleanse, and I adopted them for my gel manicure and pedicure. They have a mani pedi spa package that always include a collagen eye mask as well as a luxurious head and shoulder massage to relieve any tension! Give it a try.
Top 4 Spa in Canggu : Amo Spa for sauna, steam room & ice bath
Amo spa is one of the places where I spent the most time in Bali. In addition to being a spa and offering massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, etc. They are best known in the region for their Sauna spaces! You can spend the day here and enjoy their relaxation areas. They have two saunas (Saunas have been used for thousands of years, since Mayan times, in order to boost people’s immune system, improve sleep quality, detox, improve blood circulation, tone muscles and much more.) steam room, Turkish hammam, ice pools (kept at temperatures around 60 degrees Fahrenheit), jacuzzi but above all ice barrels, set at 4 degrees Celsius! I became addicted to Ice baths. There is also a swimming pool surrounded by a large deck that is terraced with sun loungers. What I also like here is the fact that they have a restaurant part. So you don’t even have to go outside to hydrate or eat healthy. Most of the customers live in Bali and we can therefore learn a lot about the investments, the culture or even the gossip.
Udara Spa – for Yoga classes, meditation, breathwork
Udara Bali is for sure one of my Top 4 spa in Canggu. I came there for the first time to attend their Sunday Festival which is quite famous! This event takes place every Sunday and only costs 200K IDR – 12€. It starts at 9 a.m. with a meditation and then you can choose between yoga and breathwork classes. What follows is 1h30 of ecstatic dance, sound healing journey and closing circle. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to stay there for 3 nights for a yoga retreat (they also organize detox retreats). Their yoga retreat includes food (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner), access to all classes (so I was able to try aerial yoga, happy healing flow, quantum breathwork, hatha yoga etc.. ) as well as access to their spa (sauna, steam room, cold plunge, ice bath etc). I clearly loved everything! Their classes are all amazing and you can just drop in and take whatever takes your fancy. So whether it’s to discover yoga, do a retreat several days or simply spend a day in their spas, I highly recommend it.
Anaya Aesthetics for a Beauty care to a new level
Anaya Aesthetics provides high-end, world class procedures that enhance your natural assets and beauty. They specialize in 3 categories: Aesthetics (filler, injectable, thread lift, pico laser, skin boosters, etc…) – Body treatments (EM sculpt, infrared sauna, IV drip infusions and lymphatic drainage therapy) – Facials (Dermalogica and micro needling). It’s a slightly more ‘medical’ approach than other spas. Moreover, the decoration and the atmosphere are very white, clean, cold, simply professional (while remaining very pleasant). Here I tested their lymphatic drainage with infrared sauna session, and I really appreciated this treatment (be careful it’s not a massage, it helps remove waste and toxins from body tissues. Lymphatic massage aims to help the body maintain proper blood circulation, body fluid balance and immune functions.). I also did a ‘wonder ultra deep facial’ and I almost fell asleep because it was so relaxing, my skin looked like a baby’s.
I could have made a top 10 spa in Canggu to include Tender Touch (where I did my Gua Sha body sculpt and facial) , Spring (where I did my hair treatment) or even Tonic (whare I did my hot stone masage) etc. But I preferred to limit myself so that the article is not too long.
Bali is currently at its peak and continues to develop. New spas appear almost every month… I’m sure more gems are about to be born!
A trip is also about discovering things for yourself; then go on an adventure! Or if you prefer to save time or fear disappointment, take note of my top 4 spa in Canggu !
