Have you ever dreamed of a mountain getaway in a typical Chalet? Open fire, breathtaking views of the mountains and a sauna to take refuge after a chilly outing. Well that’s what we decided to experience by going to Chalet V.
Situation of Chalet V:
Chalet V was built in 2017 in Valais, more precisely in La Tzoumaz. Region forming part of Verbier in the 4 Valleys. Skiing and hiking lovers, you’re in the right place. Chalet V is located in the largest ski area in Switzerland with more than 400km of slopes. Without forgetting the many hiking and biking trails. (In patois, La Tzoumaz means ‘to rest’; and that’s exactly what we did!)
The facilities of Chalet V:
Chalet V was built from recycled old wood and sustainable materials. This consists of 5 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 12 people. Two bedrooms with double bed, one bedroom with 2 single beds, one bedroom with 4 bunk beds (ideal for your children) as well as the master bedroom with its private bathroom and a balcony.
Whether you want to watch a movie in the TV room, have fun with the pinball machine and the ping pong table or even relax in the Spa (sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi), you’ll be won over!
The outdoor swimming pool is heated in summer and winter and offers you a breathtaking view! Not to mention the many terraces with incredible views … For my part, my favorite place was in front of the outdoor open fireplace facing the mountain with a blanket, a book and a good glass of wine (That Zoe, the manager will advise you).
Services:
Chalet V is rented privately for a minimum of 4 nights. Two options are available:
Self-Catered: That’s to say a completely independent rental. You can use whatever is in Chalet V to cook on your own.
The managers will welcome you with a champagne & zakouski to start your vacation off right. Cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms is included as well as garbage disposal. You must, however, take care of cleaning the kitchen yourself.
Full Catered: The price difference is quite significant but is perfectly justified! (And clearly worth it) Champagne reception on arrival. King’s breakfast served every morning (muesli, eggs, bacon, Belgian artisan jams, local yogurts, fresh juices without forgetting their incredible smoothie; different every day!). A snack when you come back from hiking / skiing and a 3-course dinner in the evening, worthy of a starred restaurant! And if you have a particular desire, I’m sure that Chef Nico will be happy to do the necessary.
Apart from these options, Chalet V offers various services to facilitate and enhance your stay. Such as a private driver or the organization of a moment of relaxation with a masseur coming to the Chalet just for you!
