MUNDUK MODING PLANTATION | HOTEL REVIEW

Munduk Moding Plantation Bali Review

I stayed in Munduk Moding Plantation (MMP) on my last trip to Bali. It was the second time in the north for me. Staying at this wonderful hotel was so high on my bucket list since few months. I’m so happy to have done so this year.

This hotel is like a hideaway nestled in a working coffee plantation surrounded by jungle. From their amazing infinity pool you can admire the Bali Sea and the towering volcanoes in Java. It’s where nature creates art.

About Munduk Moding Plantation:

In this hotel again, the plastic isn’t present. Here they rely on sustainable, ecological and natural materials. Munduk Moding Plantation is a working coffee plantation, but they also grow a wide variety of tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers.

It’s therefore very pleasant in the morning to walk around the plantations listening to the songs of the birds. You can pick up and enjoy your strawberries for example.

Activities:

MMP offers a wide range of activities included in the price of your stay. You’ll be able to check at the reception the proposed activities the next day. So it’s preferable to register beforehand to have room. This starts from the creation of your bamboo straws, the exploration of the plantations, the establishment of the offerings, etc.

The hotel also proposes to organize other outdoor activities (and thus paying) such as: Hiking tours, mountain biking, horse riding… Of course, if you want something special, I’m sure they will do their best to organize it for you.

Bedroom at Munduk Moding Plantation:

The villas and suites at MMP marry key features of Balinese architecture with a modernist tradition, adapted to the environment of this hill station. You can choose between some Villas, Pool Villas with Jacuzzi, Coffee Villa or a garden suite. In any case, no matter what you choose, you’ll certainly be as happy as I was to stay in a place like this.

We chose a garden suite. Each one has a private terrace with stunning views of the plantations. Our bathroom was just crazy! A large stone bath with an open shower covered with perfect brightness. Not to mention the King Size bed! I have never seen one that big of my life. The garden suite was really nice.

Breakfast & Afternoon tea included:

The à la carte breakfast is included during your stay as well as the afternoon tea (You have the choice between tea and coffee obviously accompanied by delicious homemade cookies).

Take your breakfast with an incredible view of the plantations, Bali Sea and the volcanoes, what more can you ask for? Whether you’re more scrambled egg, pancakes, waffles, smoothie or homemade granola, you’ll find something to satisfy your stomach with this king’s breakfast.

I advise you obviously to taste their dinner too at MiMPi restaurant! The atmosphere is even more romantic and relaxing once night has fallen. The quality of their dish is perfect and your taste buds will be ecstatic!

Something to know!

Munduk Moding Plantation has been named the best Eco-Luxury resort in Indonesia in 2016 by the World Luxury Hotels Association and their main pool was nominated by Asia Spa as one of the best 10 Infinity pools in the world in 2014.

So I think that between their delicious breakfast, their incredible infinity pool, the relaxing atmosphere and the fact that the hotel is sustainable, you must organize a small stay in this hotel.
